About Bagnon

In short, Bagnon is a group of addons that improve the way the player manages his or her inventory.

Addons

Bagnon: Displays your inventory and bank in single frames.
Bagnon_Forever: Optional, allows you to view your bank, and the inventory of any of your other characters from anywhere.
Bagnon_Tooltips: Optional, tells you on item tooltips which characters of yours have the item, and where
Bagnon_Options: A load on demand options menu

Features

A single, customizable display for your inventory and one for your bank
Color coded item slots and borders
Ammo and Soul Bag item slots are colored yellow
Profession bag slots are colored green
Keyring slots are colored orange
The borders for items are color coded based by their quality
Can view the bank and inventory of your characters from anywhere.

Usage

Viewing

When enabled, Bagnon should be fully integrated into the UI.
Bindings can be set to show or hide the your inventory or bank
The slash commands /bgn bags and /bgn bank can also toggle the display of your bags or bank

Searching

Double click the title of your inventory or bank to search. Searches recognize both the names of items, and any item type, subtype, or equipment location.

Moving

When unlocked, simply click and drag on the title portion of the frame (<Player's> <Bank | Inventory>)

Hiding a Bag

Click a bag within your inventory or bank to toggle the visibility of the items contained within it

Customization

Right click on the title portion of your inventory or bank. A menu will pop up with a bunch of options for modifying the appearance of the frame.
From here, you can do things like change the frame's background color, layer, scale, or opacity
To configure general settings, use /bgn menu

Slash Commands

Commands can start with either /bagnon or /bgn.
/bgn bags - Toggle the display of your inventory
/bgn bank - Toggle the display of your bank

Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

Currently I'm getting the error that doesn't show tooltips in the Bagnon window, but tooltips appear fine in other windows. Turning off several of the other Bagnon addons allows the original tooltips, but they flicker and bounce around. Any suggestion on how to remedy this? This started happening post patch 2.4.3 >.<

Is there a way to tell it not to have your bags close when leaving a vendor? I have looked all over for a way to just keep them open all the time (possibly even have them start open) but I cannot find anything that would do this. I had hoped that Bagnon as useful as it is would do it.

I'd like to see an option to make it hide the other side's gold. Since I do not play on a PvP server, I have both my Horde and Alliance characters on the same server. So, when I am playing my Horde characters, I still see "400g on Kirin Tor" even though it's my night elf rogue that has most of that money.

Other than that, I absolutely love this addon suite! :)

Nice addon! Also have a few suggestions if these are possible to incorporate.

1. Indexing of Guild Banks
2. Seperation of bags (ie. I want to see my quiver but not with my other bags, rather than completely hiding it)
3. Search across characters rather than having to load a characters bags before searching inside them

Bug (first time it happen) :
Some objects (very common : ore, copper, and other minerals) disapear when i put them in bank. When i disable bagnon, i can see them.

Edit : not a bug, but maybe a feature :]
Seem you can disable a bag, if you want. So, you can't see his content.
Really don't need that feature, but, oh well, i suppose others have use for it.

For some reason I can't configure the bank and bankbags to be original viewing (the default bank/bank bags from Blizzard).

Tried to uncheck the square that says "Replace bags" but when I relog they are still the all in one bank bags. Did however manage to get the bank (not the bank bags) to be origninal.(A screen for those that don't quite understand me :P http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/8148/wowscrnshot062808183016uf8.jpg)

So to sum it up: I want the bank to be the original frames and the inventory bags to be the Bagnon frame.

I visited my bank. How else would I know that its not showing my bank?

sorry about that last sentence but that was like telling me to turn my computer off and back on again. :(

*edit* seems one of my other addon's are causing the problem. Trying to find which one it is

BagFu is the problem. :)

You need to visit your bank to have bagnon show what's in it.
As far as missing items: make sure all your bags are shown.

Would love to see a way to reset the addon in the event of character deletion. Right now, I still show item information from characters I deleted. Outside of that, it works great and I love being able to see where I have all my goodies at.

It looks like there is a problem when trying to replace a bag with a new one. If I buy a new (larger) bag, I cannot replace it instead of an old one. Even if emptying the old one before.
