------------------------------------------------- MIRAGE UI COMPILATION (Previously known as the 'Insomniax Recompilation') Version 2.3.03, January 24th, 2008 Created and maintained by Eduardo "LedMirage" Lucero ------------------------------------------------- Thank you for downloading the Mirage UI Compilation, I sincerely hope you enjoy it as much as I have and that it makes your gaming experience a better one :) The MUI compilation is intended to be as easy and simple to setup and as user friendly as possible, it compiles some of the best user interface modification for World of Warcraft and it has changed a lot since the first version I released back in December of 2004 however the quality, attention to detail and commitment to our online community remains the same. While a I put a lot of work and time into maintaining and improving this compilation including some minor coding and artwork please do not forget that all the individual mods that make up the compilation come from many talented and different authors; for us mod authors credit for our work is more than often the only thing we will ever receive, please do not forget to give proper credit where it's due, taking credit for someone else's work is not only uncool and rude, it's demoralizing and will only be detrimental in the development of free add-ons. A big thank you goes out to each and every contributor in the mod community and a special thanks to all the authors whose work has been a part of this compilation. Thanks guys! P.S. Those of you who have helped with donations and kind words, you know who you are, THANKS!!! ------------------------------------------------- USER AGREEMENT: (Last revised 12/21/2006) ------------------------------------------------- 1. You agree to this agreement by downloading and using any and all files and intellectual property contained in this compilation. 2. You agree to NOT discredit any Author of their original work found in this compilation, be it code, graphics or intellectual property. 3. You agree to NOT hold any author responsible for any damage, data loss or any problems caused directly or indirectly by this compilation. 4. You agree to NOT use any material found in this compilation for monetary gain, as it is against Blizzard's EULA agreement and it is NOT your right to make money off of other Author's work. 5. You may redistribute any and all files contained in this compilation ONLY if they remain unmodified, this user agreement is included and remains unmodified and proper credit to any and all Authors is given. 6. You may modify and redistribute any and all files contained in this compilation ONLY with the expressed written consent of any and all respective Authors. 7. If you do not agree then delete any and all files included in this compilation as well as previous and future versions of it, by doing this you implicitly agree to NOT use any and all material found in this compilation for any purpose. 8. Original Authors of Modifications included in the compilation have the final say in how any and all of their work is to be used, redistributed and modified, and in so doing taking precedence over any and all of the previously defined agreements. ------------------------------------------------- How to help (Donations and User Ratings) ------------------------------------------------- Please download the mod and cast your vote on all you favorite websites to help in promoting the compilation. This compilation has been around since December 2004 but all statistics were reset after WoW version 2.0 was released, in addition the compilation went through a name change and I now host the file directly from my own website primarily. The result is ratings and numbers of downloads nowhere near indicative of its popularity - but clearly there's a LOT of you out there who continue to use it, so cast your vote and rate the mod would ya? Any and all donations are particularly appreciated at this time since both my wife and me continue to find ourselves without a job and looking for ways to pay the next bill, to those of you who have kindly donated I have no words to express just how much help you have been, THANKS! :) My personal Paypal account to which you can send any and all donations is: LedMirage[AT]woh.rr.com Thanks for your support! ------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION ------------------------------------------------- A lot of time and effort is put into making sure the initial default settings are as tolerable and user friendly as possible, however only new users (or clean installations) would have noticed this; if you are an advanced user then use the Quick Installation method, otherwise you should use the Clean Installation method, both are explained below. 11/15/2007: IMPORTANT, all ACE dependant mods have been changed to not include external libraries, this drastically reduces loading time and the amount of files on your PC, however, you must absolutely make sure to completely empty up your ..\Interface\AddOns\ folder prior to extracting the files in the compilation to avoid complications. 9/29/2007: IMPORTANT, make sure to backup your ..\World of Warcraft\WTF\ folder, there were many significant changes in recent releases including the removal of MetaMap - to convert your existing map notes from MetaMap to Cartographer follow the step-by-step instructions under the Importing Map Notes section. Clean Installation (Basic Users): Use this method if you are new to mods and do not understand how mods work in World of Warcraft, this is the recommended procedure. 1. Exit the game 2. Delete all the contents of your ..\World of Warcraft\Interface\ folder 3. Make a Backup of your ..\World of Warcraft\WTF\ folder, you only need to do this if you want to have a backup of data from mods previously installed, for example Gatherer, Map Notes, etc. 4. Delete your ..\World of Warcraft\WTF\ folder 5. Delete your ..\World of Warcraft\Cache\WDB\ folder 6. Launch the game without any mods installed and log into the game with one of your characters 7. Exit the game 8. Extract all the files from the Mirage UI compilation Zip file making sure to use folder names and point to your root World of Warcraft folder. 9. Launch the game Quick Installation (Advanced Users): Use this method if you have a good understanding of how mods work in World of Warcraft and can easily solve common mod conflict issues on your own. 1. Exit the game 2. Delete all the contents of your ..\World of Warcraft\Interface\ folder 3. Extract all the files from the Mirage UI compilation Zip file making sure to use folder names and point to your root World of Warcraft folder. 4. Launch the game ------------------------------------------------- IMPORTING MAP NOTES From MetaMap, CT_MapMod or Gatherer to Cartographer ------------------------------------------------- 1. Find the folder ..\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\YOUR-LOGIN-NAME\Saved Variables\ 2. Once there find the file named MetaMap.lua and copy it (this also applies to Gatherer.lua and CT_MapMod.lua) 3. Find the folder ..\World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\Cartographer_Import\ 4. Paste the file MetaMap.lua that you just copied inside the folder ..\Cartographer_Import\ 5. Launch the game and open your the map and click on the cartographer button 6. From the Cartographer drop down list choose "Icon packs" and make sure that "Metamap Iconpack", "Gatherer Iconpack", CT_MapMod Iconpack" and "Enabled" are all checked. 7. Enjoy your MetaMap Notes in Cartographer! ------------------------------------------------- List of Mods included with the Mirage UI compilation version 2.3.03 (Every mod in the list up to date as of 9:01pm EST 1/23/2008) ------------------------------------------------- This is a simplified list of all the modifications included in the Mirage UI Recompilation; they are all up to date, tested, tweaked and in a lot of cases even have added functionality. * ArkInventory * Auctioneer Advanced (## DefaultState: Disabled) * AutoBar (## DefaultState: Disabled) * Bartender 3 * BigWigs (and many plugins for it) * Bottom Scanner (## DefaultState: Disabled) * Cartographer (and many plugins for it) * ClearFont2 (MUI version) * CT_Core, CT_MailMod * cyCircled * Damage Meters * ElkBuffBars * Enchantrix (## DefaultState: Disabled) * EquipCompare * ErrorMonster * Examiner * Fubar (and many plugins for it) * FuTextures * GFW_AdSpace * GFW_DisenchantPredictor (## DefaultState: Disabled) * GFW_Gemologist * GFW_HuntersHelper * GFW_ReagentCost * HealBot (## DefaultState: Disabled) * Informant * LittleWiggs * MirageUI_Core * MirageUI_cyCircled * MirageUI_XPBar * MirageUI_SunnViewport_ArtPack * MobInfo2 * MonkeyQuest * Omen (## DefaultState: Disabled) * OmniCC * oRA2 (## DefaultState: Disabled) * Outfitter * Quartz * QuestAnnouncer * ScrollingCombatText, ScrollingCombatText - Damage * Simple Minimap * Skillet * sRaidFrames (## DefaultState: Disabled) * Sunn Viewport Art * Swatter * TipBuddy (by Aezay) * TrinketMenu * WoW Instant Messenger * Xloot, XlootGroup, XlootMaster, XlootMonitor (## DefaultState: Disabled) * X-Perl Unit Frames ------------------------------------------------- Mirage UI Modifications Included ------------------------------------------------- A few of the modifications are made by myself LedMirage, while some offer added functionality or visual themes they are all list here along with recent changes for your reference. *Mirage UI CyCircled Themes. Now that's alot of description!
    Nice UI m8.
I like UI's more variable than just a box in the bottom screen, but that's me.

  • March 3, 2008, 10:31AM (5 months, 4 weeks ago)

Great UI, one of the best I've ever used. But I have one problem, I don't really want to change the original WoW font, but when I disabled MirageUI ClearFont2, my health and mana numbers are all fuzzy and huge, the only solution I found to get rid of it was to disable X-Perl, but I've been using X-Perl for a while and I want to keep it.

Any way to revert back to the old font, like the one on the Hunter screenshot?

  • Feb. 27, 2008, 04:31PM (6 months ago)

  • Feb. 16, 2008, 08:06AM (6 months, 2 weeks ago)

everything great, i have finished configuring everything except one problem... in BG's (and sometimes outside bg) there is always a text right on top of the characters head, saying "Cooldown Monitor".. i have searched everywhere, how can i make this disappear? there is no such addon in the list too.. please tell me.

  • Feb. 16, 2008, 12:00AM (6 months, 2 weeks ago)

great ui. question tho, how do i turn off the scrolling combat text. i'm a mage and have so much text across my screen i can't see a thing...

  • March 19, 2008, 04:00AM (5 months, 1 week ago)

Type in /sct and a window should appear, you can disable it from there.

  • Feb. 11, 2008, 10:47PM (6 months, 2 weeks ago)

I usually use cosmos complete but i just installed this for the nice look. I get merror messages that i dont know how to copy and send for report. The minimap are the round old one for some reason. Plus the scrolling text window (general and combat) are the original ones. And i can“t find any configuration meny, or any settings at all. Just some of the adds included are minibuttons on the minimap. But nothing to change button setup or drag them or anything.
